All DHHS employees are asked to complete the Guarding Minds @ Work stress satisfaction scan quarterly. The basic score called the stress satisfaction - offset score (SSOS), is known to be strongly associated with a wide variety of mental and physical health outcomes. It shows the balance or “offset” between satisfaction and stress as a single number ranging from +2 [much more satisfaction than stress] to –2 [much more stress than satisfaction].
