Polk County HHSA (Health Department) and community partners intend to increase the number of events hosted or attended, specifically wherein we provide resources or referrals pertaining to Healthy Eating/Active Living.
The following are examples of events HEAL stakeholders have hosted or attended to execute our strategy:
- Trail walk
- School career fair
The following are examples of resources, referrals, or other HEAL-related activities offered at aforementioned events:
- General health education and conversation
- Healthy SNAP-eligible recipe
- Exercise and nutrition quiz
