Polk County % Feel Lonely "Often/Some of the Time/Occasionally"

Story Behind the Indicator
Only one data point currently exists for the percentage of Polk respondents who feel lonely (often, some of the time, or occasionally). However, that more than 2 in 5 individuals feels lonely points to the prevalence of perceived isolation in Polk's rural setting and a deeper concern for overall mental health status across the county. We aim to reduce this percentage by 20% by the end of the 2024-2026 CHA cycle through carefully-selected, evidence-based strategies to reconnect our community with needed resources and with one another.
