Story Behind the Curve
The BLUE line represents the # of hospital admissions
The RED line represents the # of Crisis bed admissions
In July of 2015, we asked DMH to pull aggregate hospital days for the clients at My Pad starting with FY12 before My Pad was open. The data returned to us indicates that My Pad is extremely effective at providing residents with the support they need within the community and thus significantly reducing their reliance upon hospital stays.

Assuming a cost of $1400 per day per bed for a Level 1 inpatient bed, the decrease in 348 bed days from FY12 to FY14 represents a significant decrease in hospital costs by supporting the residents in the community ($487,200).
