Story Behind the Curve
HFY1 2025
Due to program demand, there is a waitlist as the program works to intake students on the basis of vulnerability. As a result, some clients are still within their 30-day period for goal setting.
FY21 HY2
- The percentage of youth creating new customized plans declined as needs remained constant, such as housing, food, and mental health services.
- COVID-19 safety concerns prevented case managers from accessing enrolled students that caused a sharp reduction in formal assessment of needs that then caused further reductions in plan creation, goal setting, and goal accomplishment.
FY21 - HY1
- Social distancing mandates and virtual services has been a significant factor in the decline of youth completing assessments.
- Youth plans and assessments are counted as the number completed during the reporting period. A number of the plans and assessments were not updated because they remained focused on existing goals.
- There were also fewer students enrolled this period compared to the same time frame last year.
