What is this about?
This data is collected using the Jersey Opinions and Lifestyle Survey (JOLS) which surveys a representative sample of adults in Jersey. The survey asks people about their usual mode of travel for commuting to work, and includes an option for sharing a car or van with other people.
The JOLS results consistently show that about 38% of people drive to work in a car on their own as opposed to only about 9% who share with other people.
