This program has not operated since March of 2020 due to COVID-19. We have continued to apply for a small amount of funding each year hoping program operations will be able to resume, however this is unlikely so after 2 years of inactivity we are discontiuning funding. A budget modification reallocating these dollars and defunding this program was approved in March 2022.
This scorecard holds the semi-annual and annual performance measures for reporting purposes for the Pop Up Youth Drop In Center Program in Anne Arundel County for FY20 and Beyond.
The Pop-Up Youth Drop In Center operates two days a week at the Brooklyn Park Library offering basic needs, systems navigation, programming and other services in a location that is familiar and friendly to youth – meeting them where they are, both literally and figuratively.
Unaccompanied homeless youth (who are frequently disconnected youth) aged 18-24 in North County.
Recruitment is done through street outreach and networking. Many youth are also identified and referred through the public library staff, Community of Hope partners, and the local COC.
