The strategies below are from a cross-sector partnership of organizations. These measures are for FY23 (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023). Several of these strategies continue into FY24.
Goal: Reduce misuse of drugs and alcohol for Northern Kentucky residents
Expand the naloxone training and distribution program
Maintain linkage to treatment for SAEP (Syringe Access Exchange Program) participants
Provide HIV and Hep C testing
Expand the paraprofessional workforce for substance misuse (Responsible Agency: NKU)
Provide technical assistance to existing alcohol and substance use and prevention workgroups
Become a certified Recovery Ready Community
Goal: Improve mental health for Northern Kentucky residents
Improve access to and awareness of behavioral health services
Increase minority student enrollment and graduation from behavioral health disciplines
