4. Office of Internal Audit

Internal Audit serves DHHS Organizational Units through audit and consulting activities focused on protecting and enhancing DHHS objective achievement to better enable DHHS services for the people of Utah. More specifically, Internal Audit brings professional insights into all aspects of governance, risk management and internal control through performance audit, financial audit, compliance audit, investigations and consulting projects. Internal Audit is empowered by the Utah Internal Audit Act, and governed by standards (within a professional practices framework) from the International Institute of Internal Audit.
