Scorecard for the Recurring Complex Situations Committee

Partners come together in this Recurring Complex Situation Committee. There are children, youth and families with complex needs known to many community partners around this table. We have committed to support further collaboration around Coordinated Service Planning (CSP) processes in our region for those children, youth, and families who require more support to navigate their needs. Strengthening this system of support will hopefully have impact for those families who require more funding and case management through the Complex Special Needs (CSN) program through MCCSS (a small subset of children, youth, and families with complex needs in the region whose needs are often more urgent).

CSP - Coordinated Service Planning (CSP) - CSP provides support for children and youth with multiple and/or complex special needs, so that families will have a more consistent, seamless and family-centred service experience. The overall target population for CSP is families of children and youth with multiple and/or complex special needs whose need for service coordination goes beyond the scope of inter-professional collaboration to address and who would benefit from the added support provided by Coordinated Service Planning.

Complex Special Needs (CSN) - Refers to Children and Youth with Complex Special Needs as defined by MCCSS, and who are in the process of applying for or are in receipt of funding from the Ministry. Families often require case management when accessing this support.
