About Public Safety
The Public Safety service area advances safety through collaborative prevention, response and recovery. Along with traditional public safety pieces like the Portland Police Bureau, Portland Fire & Rescue and the Bureau of Emergency Communications, the Service Area also includes the Bureau of Emergency Management, the Office of Violence Prevention and Portland Street Response.
