The Health Promotion CHIP priority includes:

The strategies below are from a cross-sector partnership called Partners for Health. These measures are for FY26 (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026).

Goal: Promote optimal nutrition for Northern Kentucky residents
Implement community-based nutrition events
Implement LiveWell NKY Program in communities to support policy, system, and environmental change
Promote and assist all NKY schools with the process of implementing policy and environmental change
Ensure access to nutritional resources for medical patients and clients
Implement the Outsmarting the Female Fat (OFF) Cell program
Promote breastfeeding and optimal nutrition in WIC participants
Goal: Increase opportunities for physical activity for Northern Kentucky residents
Promote and assist all NKY schools with the process of implementing policy and environmental change
Implement community-based nutrition events
Implement LiveWell NKY Program in communities to support policy, system, and environmental change
Advocate for policy change in Active Transportation initiatives
Goal: Reduce the use of tobacco/vaping products and exposure to secondhand smoke in NKY
Offer evidence-based tobacco cessation education and programs
Educate the community on the importance of smoking prevention
Gather data on the impact of tobacco use in minority populations
Advocate for smoke-free policies to reduce secondhand smoke exposure
Implement LiveWell NKY Program in communities to support policy, system, and environmental change
