Methodology
The data captured in this Scorecard represents the number of children with an active child care certificate during the month. An active certificate shows a child is eligible for financial assistance, regardless of attendance. A child attending a program must have an active certificate to receive financial assistance. A child can have multiple certificates in a given month and therefore, the data below comes from the child's most up-to-date certificate for that month. CCFAP Child Age: The total number of children each month who fall under the given age category.
The age category is broken down as follows:
- Infant - birth to < 24 months
- Toddler - 24 months to 36 months
- Preschool - 36 months to 72 months
- School Age - 72 months to 13 years or up to 19 years if the child is designated as special needs
CCFAP Child Citizenship: The total number of children each month who fall under with the specified citizenship status.
CCFAP Child Ethnicity: The total number of children each month who identify with the specified ethnicity.
CCFAP Child Gender: The total number of children each month who identify with the specified gender.
CCFAP Child Race: The total number of children each month who identify with the specified race.
