Living Free Ministries:

Living Free Ministries offers two treatment programs: Mary’s House and the Men’s Regeneration Program.

Mary's House is a refuge for women battling addiction, depression, anxiety, self-harm, sexual trauma, eating disorders, and other life-controlling issues.

Mary’s House offers a residential program that includes one-on-one biblical counseling and small group classes.

Men's program offers an alternative to traditional drug treatment programs. Instead of focusing on chemical addiction, we focus on a man's relationship with God and his need for reconciliation and spiritual healing. The program is broken into four phases and is offered at no cost to the resident.

Resident Treatment Services of Alamance (RTSA) Services:

Non-Hospital Medical Detoxification
Supervised withdrawal management with 24-hour medical monitoring to ensure safety and comfort.

Crisis Stabilization Services
Short-term intensive support for individuals experiencing substance-related or mental health crises, offering treatment interventions and behavior management.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program
RTSA now offers MAT services as part of a comprehensive approach to treating opioid use disorder. MAT combines FDA-approved medication (e.g., buprenorphine)  with counseling and evidence-based behavioral therapies, helping individuals manage cravings, reduce relapse risk, and sustain long-term recovery.

(For details on detox, crisis, and MAT services please call: 336-227-7417)

Progress in 2025

In 2025, Alamance County has made significant strides in expanding substance use treatment and behavioral health services. The Alamance Behavioral Health Center now offers 24/7 crisis services, outpatient programs, pharmacy access, peer support, and a peer “living room” for warm, no‑appointment-needed support. Through local participation in the Stepping Up Initiative, the county has improved mental health screening in jails, provided crisis co‑responders for law enforcement, and developed a support system that lowered jail bookings of individuals with behavioral health needs. Statewide, the NCDHHS has allocated more than $11 million toward diversion and reentry programs—benefiting local agencies such as Hope Mission, Vaya Health, and others—helping justice-involved individuals access treatment, housing, and employment support. Additionally, youth-focused support continues through the Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment (ASAT) program, which offers free group and family counseling for at-risk teens in Alamance County.
