What Does Organization Do?
Trybe provides a range of programs and provides opportunities for youth to learn life skills and engage with their communities in productive ways. Trybe programs are sustained by recruiting community volunteers and leveraging partnerships with after school programs, using school site locations such as recreation centers, and school gyms, as sites for their youth and family programs.
Who Does Organization Serve?
Trybe is a community-based non-profit rooted in East Oakland. Trybe serves 200 families including, students, youth, parents and children across East Oakland, North Oakland, Berkeley, and the East Bay.
What Impact Does the Organization Plan to Have on Service Population?
Through their community resilience work, Trybe will provide a range of Community Engagement services. Trybe will provide navigation support and leverage its grassroots food, PPE distribution, family support, violence prevention, and other programs that reach 47,000+ individuals in the San Antonio neighborhood. This partnership will be essential in reaching students, youth and families in Alameda County.
